Stop Screen Rotating on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Trying to read in bed and the screen keeps rotating?
Maybe, viewing a photo taken portrait but showing landscape and the darn screen keeps rotating and turning every time you rotate to view the content?
Annoying isn’t it?
You can lock the screen rotation by doing the following:
1.  Double click the Home button – the multitasking bar should appear.
2.  Swipe the multitasking bar to the right and the iPod controls should appear from the left side
3.  Tap the very left icon with the roundy arrow – rotation locked!
Note: This will only lock it in portrait mode.
