There are lots of simple tweaks you can make that make a big difference to your iPhone’s draining battery life with little impact on yours.
To save battery life I like to configure my auto-lock to the minimum time (1 minute).
For security and usability, set your Passcode Lock to Require Passcode after about 15 minutes so it doesn’t get really annoying having to enter your passcode every time you unlock the phone.
Here’s how to do it.
1. Tap Settings > Tap General
2. Tap Auto-Lock
3. Tap 1 Minute and then tap General to return to the General Settings menu
4. Now tap Passcode Lock and enter your current Passcode when requested
5. Now ensure Passcode Lock is set to On then tap Require Passcode
6. Tap 15 minutes (or whatever you prefer)
7. Press the Home button to return to the springboard.
