
That may change with the arrival of Mobiroo. The company sells gift cards that let both Android and even Blackberry users buy games like Burn the Rope, Bejeweled 2 and Need For Speed Shift.

All consumers have to do is purchase a $15 or $25 card at participating retailers (Target and Radio Shack in the U.S.), redeem said card on the Mobiroo website after creating an account and download games and apps directly from there.
Not a bad idea, but also an one still in the works. The Android selection is shockingly limited, and some of the hottest games are noticeably absent.
In other words, unless Mobiroo hosts the same exact content as the Android Marketplace, we don't expect it to be around very long.
