iOS 5: How To Rename Your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Considering you’ll never have to plug your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch into a PC or Mac again it’s only sensible that iOS 5 allows you to edit the devices name.
And pretty logically they’ve simply made the Name field in the About screen editable.
Here’s how to do it:
1.  Tap Settings
2.  Tap General
3.  Tap About
4.  Tap into the Name field
5.  Enter a new name and tap Done.
Of course, should you decide to plug into iTunes, the Name will sync right up to the PC or Mac too.
This ‘business as usual’, straight outta the manual tip was tested on iOS 5 developer beta 2 on an iPhone 3GS.
