Disable iPhone Bluetooth to Save Battery Life – iPad and iPod Too!

More battery saving tips for the less then satisfactory iPhone and iPad battery life.
Having lots of features you don’t use all that much enabled on smartphones and tablets means you’ll pay the price in battery life.
Among the biggest culprits of battery drain on iOS devices (and most mobile devices) are antennas such as 3G, wi-fi and bluetooth closely followed by a bright screen.
Bluetooth being limited in it’s uses – unless you use a headset all the time – is a prime candidate to extend the battery life by the odd hour or two.
Here’s how to disable it:
1.  Tap General > Settings > Bluetooth
2.  Toggle the rocker switch to OFF
This is where I found the setting on an iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.3.2.
If you found it somewhere different, let me know.
