Control Other Music Apps Using iPod Double Tap n’ Swipe Right Controls

As mentioned in a previous tip, iOS 4 replaced access to the iPod forward/back/play/volume controls using the double tap the Home button method.
Now it’s double tap and swipe right to access them but another inclusion now is the ability to control another app that has been designed to take advanatge of the iOS’s Music Player Controller.
For example, you can see below a snap of the regular iPod icon being displayed and in the next shot you see FileApp (which has a built in music player and takes advantage of these controls).

 

There are many apps out there that take advantage of this such as Pandora.
