Just earlier I wrote about streaming your music using SugarSync online storage service but now I’m discovering all sorts of wonderful things – DropBox allows you to do the same thing, and I prefer DropBox hands down.
If there’s one great thing Amazon Cloud Player has done for iOS users and online storage companies, is that it’s highlighted other ways of streaming your music to your iPhone, iPod or iPad.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Register, Download & install DropBox from this link. When you register you’ll get 2GB free storage and you can increase that 8GB by referring your friends.
2. After you install DropBox it will seamlessly integrate into Windows Explorer, Mac Finder (available for Linux too). Simply drag and drop some music into your DropBox.
4. While DropBox is doing a sync, open up the App Store on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and search for and download DropBox.
5. When complete, open up the DropBox app and login using the same username and password you registered with above.
6. Tap My DropBox, browse to your music and tap a song to start playing.
DropBox also supports the iOS Music Controls so you can close the App and Multitask and you’ll be able to continue listening and control your music by accessing the music controls to the left of the multitask bar.
