Two Finger Tap To Zoom Out Maps on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

When viewing an image on an iOS device it’s become second nature when it comes to pinching and zooming images in your Photos app or on web pages in Safari.
When it comes to Google Maps in the Maps app though, I catch myself double tapping to zoom in and then double tapping again in an attempt to zoom out only to discover the map zooming closer and closer in instead of out.
Apple have instead designed the Maps app to respond to a single two finger tap anywhere on the map to zoom out a single level.
Another two finger tap will bring you out another level and so on.
If you prefer, you can always pinch to zoom in and out but I’m getting very used to this two finger tap and I think I like it – shame it doesn’t work on images too!
