Search Contacts Using Only Initials on iPhone, iPod or iPad

Searching for a Contact on your iOS device is already very quick and easy but with this tip we’ll take it one step further.
Maybe you have a lot of Johns or Davids in your Contacts and find yourself having to type out a surname just to find the right contact well next time try this instead:
Either in your Contacts app or using Spotlight Search simply type the initials of the contact you’re looking for with a space in between each.
In other words, tap into the Search field and for example, for John Doe simply type J D and John Doe will appear below.
This works when looking for contacts through Spotlight too.
As an added bonus Spotlight will find anything else on your iPhone, iPod or iPad that has those letters also.
This was recently tested on an iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.3.3
