As the number of apps I have installed on my iOS devices grows, the job of keeping them organized grows too.
Then the job of actually finding one that I less frequently use becomes more difficult especially when stored inside folders. Enter Search.
By swiping your finger to the right on springboard (the desktop thing with all your icons), from the left, you’ll reveal your iDevice’s search screen known as Spotlight (in keeping with it’s Mac OS counterpart).
Here’s how to do it:
1. Make sure you’re on the primary home screen by pressing the Home button once.
2. Now, swipe your finger to the right and the spotlight search screen will appear from the left.
3. Type the first few letters of the App’s name and you’ll see a list appearing as you type.
4. When you see the App, tap it to launch.
You’ll probably notice a lot of other stuff coming up in the search results too. It’s a powerful feature.
More tips on this later.
