Clear Safari Cache, Cookies and History on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Delete Safari History on your iOS device

Here’s one more for those who prefer not to read the manual!
Whilst most of us are accustomed to clearing the cache, history and cookies from within our browser’s menus you won’t find such convenience on your iOS device – at least not all of it anyway.

To clear only your browsing history do the following:

1.  Open Safari
2.  Tap the Bookmarks icon – it looks kind of like an open book.
3.  Tap History
4.  Tap Clear > Clear History

To clear browsing history, cookies and cache do the following:

1.  Tap Settings > Safari
2.  Tap Clear History > Clear History (Clear on iPad)
3.  Tap Clear Cookies > Clear Cookies (Clear on iPad)
4.  Tap Clear Cache > Clear Cache (Clear on iPad)

This was tested and verified on iOS 4.3.2 on an iPhone 3GS and an iPad 2.
